my uncle gave me his 2600 Atari yesterday. it’s still in good condition. I have now abandoned all my other video game systems….for now at least <3

FRIGHTENED RABBIT - So I meant to write about this band like 4 months ago when I went to go see Death Cab in concert (FR was their opening act) but I forgot like an idiot, so um, I’m doing it noww, great band if you haven’t heard them yet. I don’t really know much about them yet but I think they’re from Scotland? (quickly checks Wikipedia for info) - Indeed, they are Scottish. Yay Scotland :D Actually, it seems like they’ve been around for awhile (3 albums already), sorta, anywho I guess that’s a sign that I should be checking my Daytrotter app more frequently.

Was anyone else outraged by the list of the Oscar nominations this year? Seriously? Michael Fassbender NOT getting an Oscar nom for Shame? SERIOUSLY?? WTF! Although the movie has been getting A LOT of attention for..um, Michael’s ‘buddy’ popping up every now and then, his performance was damn near perfect. For God’s sakes, what does it take for a guy to get nominated? I mean, for sure most people will remember Shame for being that movie ‘with loads of sex’ but those sex scenes were by far, most certainly NOT seducing in any way. Poor Brandon, I just wanted to give him a huge hug by the end of the film.
Anyways, on to the next point, why the hell was The Tree of Life nominated for Best Picture?? Another WTF moment when I heard that being read aloud. Didn’t it get really bad reviews? It was so boring. (my opinion at least) I think I would’ve much preferred to see Bridesmaids getting a nom instead of the shitfest that is The Tree of Life. I haven’t seen The Artist or Hugo so I won’t comment on those but I AM glad to see The Help’s Viola Davis getting a nom for her terrific performance as Aibileen. I really hope she takes the statue and not Meryl for once (not that I have anything against Streep).
I’m also surprised to see Trent Reznor NOT getting a Best Soundtrack nom but then again, I truly believe this year’s Oscars are a JOKE. Well that’s my rant about that, okay on with my life. lol.

Took me awhile to get used to her voice but now I’m completely lovin their stuff…too bad I hadn’t really heard of them until now. :( They’re not a band anymore but the lead singer, Annalee Fery, is now the lead in another LA band called Lonely Trees. They’re pretty awesome too
